For years, European charging infrastructure has been dominated by a small group of established suppliers. Meanwhile, something was changing in China — manufacturers who had spent decades building industrial power systems at scale were turning their attention to EV charging, and the results were remarkable. Sophisticated hardware, advanced digital interfaces, and a pace of innovation that was simply not matched elsewhere.
But the European market wasn’t ready to embrace it. Regulatory uncertainty, unfamiliar brands, and the long operational lifetime of charging infrastructure — ten, fifteen, twenty years in the field — made buyers cautious. A charger isn’t a smartphone. You don’t replace it in two years. And if something goes wrong, you need someone who picks up the phone.
That gap between product quality and market confidence is exactly where Curve Charging was born.
Dr. Susanne Koblitz spent five years as Head of Charging Technology at IONITY, one of Europe’s largest fast charging networks. She ran the hardware tenders. She sat across the table from suppliers. She knows what CPOs need — not just in the spec sheet, but in the service call at 2am, in the spare part that arrives in 24 hours, in the engineer who speaks your language and understands your grid. Today, as Managing Director and co-owner of Curve Charging, she brings that operational knowledge directly to the customer relationship.
CMC Engineering GmbH is an Espelkamp-based engineering and system partner with more than 20 years of experience bringing technology products from Asia to European markets. ISO 9001 certified, with its own sourcing and quality structures in Asia, CMC handles everything from product development and supplier qualification to logistics, conformity assessment, and after-sales processes. Their experience in EV charging infrastructure is hands-on: CMC developed and manufactured the lighting systems for IONITY charging stations, giving them direct knowledge of what large-scale European charging infrastructure demands.
Sichuan Injet New Energy Co., Ltd. is the EV charging division of Injet Electric Co., Ltd. — a publicly listed industrial group with decades of experience in industrial power supply and power electronics. The Injet group’s industrial customers include Siemens, ABB, Schneider Electric, and GE. That heritage matters: the same engineering rigour that goes into industrial power controllers and high-voltage power supplies goes into every charging system Injet builds. Injet New Energy develops DC fast chargers and scalable charging park systems for commercial, fleet, and highway applications — CE certified, OCPP compliant, and built to operate across the full range of European conditions.
The JV we formed brings these three capabilities together: the manufacturing depth and industrial credibility of Injet, the European engineering and market access expertise of CMC, and the operational charging infrastructure knowledge of Susanne Koblitz.
